So, I know it's March and all, but to me it feels like the year just begun, which means I am not too late to brag about the fact that one of my heroes, Terre Thaemlitz a.k.a. DJ Sprinkles, included my 2022 album 'Love Letters From the Sky' in his year-end chart for Boomkat.
I'm especially happy to see this piano centered tale of mine get some love since it remains closer to my heart than most of my albums (though I love and honor them all equally, as one does with children whether they are made of sound or of flesh and bone).
On 'Love Letters From the Sky', I felt that I finally managed to give some space for silence. I also have ocean deep reverence for the first song. It's one of maybe a dozen songs out of the thousand or more I have released, in which I know I managed to say what I wanted to say, and it fills me with quiet awe to hear it. Likely no-one else will feel that song as deeply as I do. Terre told me he loves the last song of this album, which he also included in his RA.1000 mix.
If you ever want a calm friend to hold your hand, find the album wherever you listen to music. It won't let you down.
